A private color notebook for iPhone.

What the app does

01

Capture

Point the camera at a color. Hexdex samples a small area at the center of the frame and shows the measured values before you save.

02

Record

Each saved color has a dex number, HEX, RGB and HSL values. Add a name, note and collection when they are useful.

03

Organize

Use the visual Gallery or the numbered Instrument view. Group colors into collections and arrange selected colors into palettes.

04

Export

Create images for Photos or Instagram Story. Export palette and archive data as ASE, CSS, CSV or JSON when needed.

Measurement note

A practical reference, not a laboratory instrument.

Camera hardware, lighting and display conditions affect a sample. Hexdex stores Display P3 values only when they are available from the capture.

Privacy

No account. No analytics. No ads.

Colors and their context stay in the local app database. Hexdex does not upload the notebook to an Always Late Technologies server. Exports leave the app only when you choose a destination.
