Privacy policy

1. The Hexdex app

Hexdex does not require an account. Always Late Technologies does not collect, receive or sell the colors, names, notes, collections or palettes saved in the app.

The app stores its notebook on the iPhone. Apple device backups may include app data according to the backup settings and terms chosen by the device owner. Always Late Technologies cannot access those backups.

2. Camera and Photos

Hexdex uses the camera while the camera view is open so it can sample a color. Camera frames are processed on the device. Hexdex does not retain the photographed image after the color is captured.

When you choose Save to Photos, the app requests permission to add the exported image to the photo library. Hexdex does not read the photo library.

3. Location

The current release does not request location access or attach location data to saved colors.

4. Exports

Exports are created only when you request them. Image, ASE, CSS, CSV and color transfer exports omit private notes, dates and places. A personal archive JSON export includes the saved context so you can keep a copy of your notebook.

Once an export is sent to Photos, Files or another app, that destination controls its copy.

5. Retention and deletion

App records remain on the device until you delete a record or remove the app and its data. Because Always Late Technologies does not receive the notebook, it cannot delete or recover it remotely.

6. This website

This website does not use analytics, advertising cookies, account systems, forms or browser storage. The hosting service may process standard technical request data such as an IP address, user agent, requested path and timestamp to deliver and secure the website.

Hosting records are retained according to the hosting provider's operational and security requirements. Always Late Technologies does not use those records to create visitor profiles.

7. Support email

If you email support, Always Late Technologies receives the address, message and any information you choose to include. This information is used to answer the request and meet applicable legal obligations. It is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

8. Legal basis and service providers

Website security and basic delivery rely on the legitimate interest of operating a reliable public website. Support messages are processed to answer your request, to take steps at your request or on the legitimate interest of providing support.

Website hosting and email providers process limited information on behalf of Always Late Technologies. Information may be processed outside the European Economic Area where the provider uses an applicable legal transfer mechanism.

9. Your rights

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data held by Always Late Technologies. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests.

10. Changes

This policy will be updated when the app, website or applicable requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
